Dog Food

Well we have another snow day here in Boston and I am completely blaming it on the fact that I'm meeting up with 'Rock You Like a Hurricane' Krueger this weekend in New York.  I have alluded to Joanne's weather curse before when the blizzard of 2011 hit just as she was supposed to come into town.  For today though I wanted to leave the dreary weather rant alone and talk about something fun!  As many of you can tell I am extremely obsessed with my fur baby, Ethel.  She is my baby girl and I spoil her rotten.  After reading this, some of you may think I'm the worse dog mom ever, but let me tell you she is extremely healthy and a very fit pup. What I want to tell you about is my Ethel's favorite food.  And no its not discarded pork pads or chicken scraps, although I'm sure she wouldn't turn those down given the choice.

My dog has a strong affinity towards fine cheeses.  Yes, I'm talking about $20 a pound comte or super creamy brie. Once that cheese drawer opens, she runs over, sits perfectly, and waits for us to give her some.  However, she's not very skilled at properly pairing these since she only drinks water.  But after she eats that deliciously strong but slightly sweet cheese she is in absolute heaven.  I know you may be thinking, 'lady your crazy wasting those expensive cheeses on your little pooch', but a small hunk of cheese makes her happy and its the least I can do.

Here is my favorite comte cheese:   Comte Extra Gran Cru

All you north-easterners.. enjoy your snow day!! Also look for fun posts about Joanne and mine's adventure in New York City this weekend.  And spoil your dog a little extra today!!

Happy Eating!
Jen
